Today we headed down to Taichung for an MSF (Doctors Without Borders) talk.

Funny thing — it’s actually the first time my wife and I took the high-speed rail together. She always feels like we’ve travelled to so many places, maybe ‘cause we’re always out for post-work activities… but at the same time, she also says we haven’t really gone anywhere.

We bothhave a dimple, she's got it on her left, I've get it on my right.

Kamana, as always, loves to socialise — super friendly and full of smiles.
She laughs when she sees people, laughs when we go out, basically just laughs at everything 😄.

 It was also her first time riding on my shoulders, and she was so excited — laughing all the way, holding on tight, like she finally discovered a new view of the world ❤️.
 

Quick trip to Taichung — took the chance to catch up with friends and try this well-known beef hotpot place.

 

The half tendon, half meat combo was amazing 🤤 — braised to perfection, full of flavour, and the chunks were huge.
The soup base wasn't too salty, just fresh and comforting.

 

As for the side dishes… you can skip the stir-fried stuff 😂. Dumplings and noodles too — not really worth the carbs.

Better to make reservation becase the line is long.
What we order is half tendon, half meat beef hotpot (半筋半肉牛肉火鍋).
You may order small, medium and large size. Small size is for 2-3 persons.
